At Buckingham Palace we were not allowed to take photos, but Jean was interviewed after the tea for BBC News on the steps in the Quadrangle. |
The Ladies during the lunch listened to a Pianist playing wartime hits and had chance to watch film footage from during the War II of Land Girls and Lumber Gills. |
At Buckingham Palace, the afternoon tea was lovely, dainty sandwiches of prawn, chicken, cream cheese, fruit cake, dainty scones, sponge cake with honey cream, brandy snaps, and shortcake etc: and as many cups of tea that you could manage, all in white gold edged tableware. LOVELY !
