The Ladies  during the lunch listened to a Pianist playing wartime hits and  had chance to watch film footage from during the War II of Land Girls and Lumber Gills.

At Buckingham Palace, the afternoon tea was lovely, dainty sandwiches of prawn, chicken, cream cheese,  fruit cake,  dainty scones, sponge cake with honey cream, brandy snaps, and shortcake etc: and as many cups of tea that you could manage, all  in white gold edged  tableware.   LOVELY !
